Pro-Ed Centre provides assessments/testing and treatment for children and adults with dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADD/ADHD, Autism /Aspergers, (Austistic Spectrum Disorders), learning difficulties, and behavioural problems.
Learning Problems- reading, reading comprehension, dyslexia, spelling, mathematics, dyscalcula, processing (visual and auditory) difficulties. Motor Problems- messy/illegible handwriting, fine motor skills, gross motor coordination, dyspraxia. Behavioural Problems- concentration, ADD/ADHD, emotional issues, social skills difficulties, autism, aspergers, etc. Identification and Recommendation for gifted children and visual spatial learners Coping Strategies – parenting skills, stress management, marriage guidance, hypnotherapy, anxiety issues. Children or adults with the above problems/difficulties are of increasing concern to parents and educators in New Zealand. Currently, not enough government funding is available. Most parents/caregivers know intuitively that their children have issues (learning, behaviour, giftedness) that have not been properly addressed. The longer these children/individuals go without specialized help, the more the gap widens in relation to their peers, and the less the chance of reaching their potential.
