What is Dyscalculia?

Dyscalculia is a specific learning difficulty that affects people across their life span and may not always be easy to identify. Dyscalculia is a learning disability where the individual struggles to grasp mathematical concepts, or cannot apply them, despite having an adequate learning environment.

Children with dyscalculia fall behind during their primary years of schooling, and may develop anxiety or a strong dislike of maths. By intermediate school, these children may also find related subject such as science, very challenging.

Pro Ed can identify and assess children and adults with dyscalculia, and offer workable solutions to improve you and your child’s mathematical abilities.
